However, there are basic progresses of these signs and symptoms as you progress through your pregnancy. When you find out that your period was delayed, you cannot readily assume that you are pregnant. There are several other factors that may contribute to these irregularities in your period cycle. Most pregnant women would notice physical changes in their breasts such as soreness, enlargement, increased sensitivity (to touch), or changing of nipple colors. Colostrum, for instance, is the first sign that your body produces milk. Breastmilk is essential for the baby immediately following birth as it provides the baby with immunities against possible infections.
Other probable signs for pregnancy include:
- enlarged abdomen
- variations in the uterine shape
- palpating action of the baby
- enlarging uterus
- stretch marks
- changes in your skin

Possible Pregnancy Signs
Braxton Hicks Contraction is a case of intermittent contraction, which typically run from 10 to 20 minutes. This contraction, however, are painless and occurs during the first trimester. This is often confused with true labor contractions. Like any other types of pregnancy signs, this is exhibited by some women more frequently than others. While there are also a few who do not experience this at all. Because these contractions can be annoying to a certain extent, you can ease them through relaxation breathing, massage, and many more.
Other signs that could mean you are possibly pregnant include:
- the "feeling" of being pregnant
- frequent urination
- feeling of fatigue

When you have the following signs, then you are definitely pregnant:
When you visit your doctor for checkup and his test reveal the heartbeat sound of a fetus, then this is apparently a confirmation of your pregnant state. The normal heartbeat rate for babies inside a woman's womb is 160 BPM or beats per minute.
Ultrasound is a common device used by doctors to see inside the woman's womb. By taking an ultrasound picture, you will be able to see the actual form and size of the baby. Ultrasound is also a tool used for determining the fetus' gender before it is delivered. X-ray detection also utilizes the same method of testing and analyzing the condition of a pregnant woman.
